Demonic Proximity: YOU ARE TOO CLOSE

Demonic Proximity: YOU ARE TOO CLOSE
In the Bible, it is shown that whenever demon spirits encountered Jesus, they either bowed to him or wanted to leave his presence. In Mark 3:11, John Mark stated that those possessed by evil spirits would throw themselves to the ground in front of Jesus whenever they saw him, shrieking, "You are the son of God!" In Luke 4:33-34, Luke describes a man in the synagogue who was possessed by a demon. The man cried out, "Go away! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — You are the Holy One!"
My question to you today is, do demonic spirits recognize you as someone who is holy? Do they perceive you as someone who is fully devoted to God, or do they see you as a person who compromises their beliefs?
If we are to be like Jesus and claim to have his Spirit, then when demonic spirits are near us, they should bow to the Holy Spirit within us. If they do not bow to the Holy Spirit that is supposed to reside in us, or if they feel comfortable in our presence, then it is time to evaluate the Spirit dwelling within us. There may be residual or foreign spirits within us that demonic entities identify with, or we may not be allowing the Holy Spirit to fully reside in us.
Demonic spirits need a body to survive, but does it have to be ours? James 4:7 tells us that if we resist the devil, he will flee. However, the question remains: how much are we really resisting? Do we give in to the enemy's plans for our lives, or do we follow God's intended purpose and plan? Conducting a thorough assessment of our spiritual state will help answer these questions.
Conducting a thorough assessment of our spiritual state will help answer these questions. It is essential to examine our thoughts, actions, and the influences we allow into our lives. Are we nurturing habits that align with God's teachings, or are we opening doors to negative influences?
The process of self-examination involves prayer, meditation on the Word, and seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit. We must ask ourselves if our lives reflect the fruit of the Spirit as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23 — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These attributes serve as indicators of the Holy Spirit's presence within us.
In addition to self-examination, we should also seek accountability from fellow believers. Proverbs 27:17 states, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Surrounding ourselves with a community of faith provides support, encouragement, and correction when needed.
When we identify areas of weakness or sin, we must not be discouraged. Instead, we should repent and seek God's forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 assures us that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
As we grow in our relationship with God, we will become more attuned to His Spirit and more resistant to the enemy's schemes. By continually seeking to be filled with the Holy Spirit, we can ensure that demonic spirits will find no place of comfort within us. Through vigilance, prayer, and a commitment to spiritual growth, we can walk confidently in the authority given to us by Christ, ensuring that our lives truly reflect His presence.

This was an amazing post and it was right on time. We must ask ourselves can we identify with God or do spirits identify with us. It's a battle everyday but things become easier when we lay it at his feet, stay in prayer and surround ourselves with God fearing people who keep us accountable.
This reminds me of one the messages you teached on a couple weeks ago. You had asked everybody "why is the enemy so comfortable with you? What makes him feel so comfortable with you?" (It was something along those lines.) I definitely need this reminder to stay getting out of what makes me "comfortable" and keep assessing the parts I don't necessarily want to assess. Thank you for sharing!
A timely message for the day is evil and we who proclaim Christ must examine ourselves. If we are powerless it is because we are not allowing the Holy Spirit to influence us. Lord have your way!
